What are “cookies” ?
A HTTP cookie, commonly known as a “cookie”, is a small piece of text file that is stored by a browser on the user’s machine. A cookie is transferred back and forth from the web browser to the originating web server.
There a different types of cookies. Our site uses the following:
Session: This type of cookie only lasts for the duration of your visit. Your web browser normally deletes this type of cookie when you leave the site.
Persistent cookie: This type of cookie lasts longer than a “session” cookie. A time limit can be set for example 1 day or longer, depending on the domain setting the cookie.
Third-party cookie: This type of cookie is set by domains other than the one shown in the URL address bar. Google and Twitter are our third-party cookies which use a combination of “session” and “persistent” type cookies.
