For super-fast service and value for money we go to Yum Yum Thai on Kingsmead Square. The diner style restaurant serves all the Thai classics, including an amazing green chicken curry. The no frills no fuss approach suits us down to the ground, just simple good food served fast at a good price.

Bath Sushi is fantastic, a Japanese diner and takeaway located just on the edge of the city centre on Lower Bristol Road. With 2 outlets in the city centre (Walcot Street and across from the Theatre Royal) you can squirrel your treasure home or smuggle back to your hotel room for a secret feast, or just find a cosy bench to wolf it down.
