The Boater is a modern pub located just off Pulteney Bridge. The seemingly traditional and modest exterior leads to a light and airy ground floor bar, where they serve well made traditional pub food and drinks. From there you can go upstairs to a more formal dining room, with a refined menu and views out over the Bath rugby grounds. Or travel downstairs to the lower ground bar which has more of a nightlife vibe with cocktails and music. Down some more steps you will discover the large beer garden, which is possibly the largest beer garden in Bath city centre. The split level space provides a higher level heated terrace and a lower level bench area shaded by trees. With an outdoor bar, barbecue and views toward the weir, the garden has a fantastic buzz during summer.
Who will love it
Almost anyone, as there is so much to choose from. Whether it is drinks before the rugby, or a quiet family meal, the Boater can cater for all.
