Bath is a great location for a Hen or Girlie weekend. If you are after party times, pampering, foodie treats or shopping extravaganzas; Bath has it all to offer. Whether we’ve done it ourselves or have friends in the city that have, these are some of the tried and tested entertainment offers.

Afternoon tea at The Royal Crescent

A couple of hours sipping champagne and munching on delicious treats is a great way to start a hen weekend (tea is optional). The atmosphere and service at The Royal Crescent Hotel makes you feel special, and the quality experience is worth the price.

River Boat Ride

Head down to the weir and jump on one of the tour boats that glide along the river to Bathampton. Take along a picnic to turn the trip into a champagne jolly, or step ashore at The Bathampton Mill for lunch and drinks. It is a really nice way of spending the day before the evening events.

Rooftop Thermal Pool

Spa days are great hen party entertainment, and there are plenty of spa’s to choose from in Bath. But the Thermae Bath Spa has a roof top thermal pool which makes any visit to Bath memorable. Summer and winter the pool and view is a great experience.

Boating and Punting on the River Avon

Head over to the Bath Boating Station and see how well you float! You can hire boats from an hour up to a full day. Up river you’ll find The Bathampton Mill , where you can tie up the boats and pop in for lunch.

Cocktails

There are plenty of cocktail bars to choose from in Bath; Sub 13 is one of our favourites for the outdoor terrace garden, the Canary Gin Bar serves a mean G&T, Bar + Block offer a bottomless brunch, and for those requiring that extra special feel, Circo would be our recommendation.

Sharing Tapas

For a sociable meal before hitting the tiles seek out La Perla . It is great Spanish tapas restaurant in the vaults beneath North Parade. The menu is short and sweet, which helps with the group selection process, and they can accommodate groups easily; depending on your size you could even end up with your own vault!
