The Scallop Shell is a laid back restaurant with a welcoming vibe. They serve traditional fish and chips alongside seafood dishes like grilled fish and sautéed king prawns with lots of lemon. Their battered fish is lovely and light, and the chips are chunky yet crisp. Fresh tartar sauce and a wedge of lemon come as standard, and you can order a side of mushy peas to complete the package. We love their traditional use beef dripping in the fryers, as it gives a crunchy finish and a boost of flavour.
