When time is short but you still want something delicious and good value for money, finding somewhere to eat can be a gamble. Luckily Bath has a lot to choose from, these are some of our tried and tested favourites.

Green Chicken Curry @ Yum Yum Thai – Bath, England

For super-fast service and value for money we go to Yum Yum Thai on Kingsmead Square. The diner style restaurant serves all the Thai classics, including an amazing green chicken curry. The no frills no fuss approach suits us down to the ground, just simple good food served fast at a good price.

Bath Sushi is fantastic, a Japanese diner and takeaway located just on the edge of the city centre on Lower Bristol Road. They serve a range of Japanese dishes including hot topped rice bowls and Sushi, but it is the Sashimi that keeps drawing us back. The food is really tasty with immaculate presentation and really good value.

For a speedy feast on the run, head to Schwarz Bros. They serve up quality takeaway burgers, all well made from great ingredients. With 2 outlets in the city centre (Walcot Street and across from the Theatre Royal) you can squirrel your treasure home or smuggle back to your hotel room for a secret feast, or just find a cosy bench to wolf it down.

Small pot of jasmine rice, crispy pork and massaman curry sauce @ Gong Fu Noodle Bar

Gong Fu Noodle Bar is a fantastic find for those who love South-East Asian fast food. Really tasty, really fast and lots to tempt you. With a choice of bowl size and great sides, they cater for the light lunch to the piggy feast. Noodle or rice, meat or veggies, spicy or sweet, the menu lets you compose your own dish so that you can include all your favourites. You can eat in (more seating upstairs) or takeaway for an alfresco munch perched on one of the Kingsmead Square benches; they even serve bubble tea!

For a light snack accompanied by a special lunch time beer we seek out Hunter & Sons in Milson Place, a hybrid café-bar that balances coffee and cake alongside craft beer and light bites. The super chilled and welcoming atmosphere is great, the perfect combination.

Sandwich @ Colonna & Hunter

For a speedy pizza The Oven is a good choice, they serve fluffy doughy pizzas and they don’t hold back on the toppings.

Pizza @ The Oven

And if you are hungering for something healthy, head to Beyond the Kale in Green Park Station. The organic juice bar serves great boost blends along with takeaway falafels and a range of salads to takeaway. The Falafels are fantastic, really packed full and juicy. They also sell sweet treats that are gluten, dairy and even sugar free, helping you find some naughtiness with less of the bad!
