About

Celebrating one of Baths most famous residents, the Jane Austen Centre provides a permanent exhibition of her life in the city and the effects it had on her writing. The exhibits include the opportunity to dress up in costumes of the time, with maps and books to explore. The centre also hosts a gift shop and The Regency Tea Room.

For Jane Austen themed walking tours we recommend Dr Moira Rudolf, who has an enthusiasm with the life, works and wit of Jane Austen.

The annual Jane Austen Festival, which often takes place in September, draws many enthusiastic visitors and the centre plays a key role.
